Dr Sonya Fiddes
Bio
Sonya is an atmospheric scientist based at the University of Tasmania who is focused on modelling aerosol/cloud-climate interaction with ACCESS and the Unified Model Regional Nesting Suite. She is particularly interested in how improving modelled natural aerosols and aerosol processes can reduce cloud-radiative biases seen in most climate and weather models, which currently results in both forecast error as well as large uncertainty in climate sensitivity for extra-tropical regions of the Southern Hemisphere.
