Ruisi Qi

Bio

Ruisi was born in Chaoyang, Liaoning Province, China. She obtained her Master’s degree in Physical Oceanography from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. She is currently a PhD student at Monash University, where she works on sea surface temperature trends in a warming climate. Her research investigates the discrepancies between observed and simulated sea surface temperature trends in the Indo-Pacific region. This study contributes to a further understanding of air-sea interaction processes in the Indo-Pacific region, improves model simulation capabilities, and helps to predict future climate.
