Jarrah Harrison-Lofthouse

Bio

Jarrah (he/they) is a PhD student at the University of Melbourne investigating novel approaches to localisation in data assimilation. His research aims to improve the accuracy of numerical weather forecasts and past climate reanalyses, which are critical components in the generation of reanalysis products which inform our understanding of climate variability and the evolution of weather systems through the modern record. With undergraduate and postgraduate studies in quantum physics, Jarrah is keen to understand the complex non-linear dynamics that translate anthropological inputs into physical phenomena.
