Professor Heini Wernli
Bio
Heini Wernli is Professor of Atmospheric Dynamics at ETH Zurich, a position he has held since 2009. He received his PhD from ETH Zurich in 1995. His research focuses on atmospheric dynamics, weather extremes, and multi-scale processes, and he has led numerous nationally and internationally funded projects. Heini has held key leadership roles at ETH Zurich, including Head of the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science and Vice-Head of the Department of Environmental Systems Science. He also serves as Executive Editor of Weather and Climate Dynamics and has received several awards for excellence in research and teaching.
