Bio

Thi Lan Dao is a Research Fellow at the Centre of Excellence for 21st Century Weather, based at the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on understanding how thunderstorms in Australia may change in a warming climate. She has previously conducted research on extreme rainfall, tropical cyclones, and multi-scale interactions. Her PhD project investigated the fine-scale rainfall signatures during heavy rainfall events under various combinations of weather and climate variability.
