Carl Doedens
Bio
Carl is a PhD student working with 21st Century Weather, based at the University of Melbourne. His research is about how Australia's weather and climate influence our solar energy resources. This includes understanding past observations and patterns of cloud cover, improving the ability to forecast daily cloud cover, and looking at how this will change in a future climate. Carl uses a variety of methods to address these questions, such as machine learning, satellite remote sensing, and atmospheric modelling. He holds a Master of Climate Science and Bachelor of Science, both from Melbourne University.
