Bio

Boying is a PhD student at the University of Melbourne, focusing on compound climate extremes. Her current research interests are particularly focused on compound extremes under overshoot and net-zero emissions scenarios. Her previous research explored spatially compounding extremes and their impacts, with experience in CMIP6 model analysis. She has a strong academic background in hydrology, with a Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering from Beijing Normal University (2025). She is particularly interested in the interdisciplinary nature of climate and hydrology, aiming to bridge meteorological processes and hydrological impacts in the study of extreme events.
