Dr Abhnil Prasad

Bio

Dr Prasad is an atmospheric modeller at the forefront of efforts to bring atmospheric science knowledge to engineering and model-development problems. His research aims to understand the impact of weather and climate on the environment and develop new ways to exploit weather and climate information for risk management. His research spans a broad spectrum of space and time scales, from regional to global and from minutes to centuries. The focus draws upon state-of-the-art meteorological tools (including numerical weather prediction and global circulation models) to address a range of environmental issues related to weather and climate extremes.
